Karbonn K9 Smartphone



Karbonn has launched a new budget Android smartphone in India, called the K9 Smart Grand.,priced at Rs.5,290. The smartphones comes in two colors – Black and Champagne. It is now available for purchase via both online as well as offline retail stores across India.

     The Karbonn K9 Smart Grand features a 5.2-inch display with 480 x 854 FWVGA resolution and 2.5D curved glass on top. It runs on an unnamed quad-core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz, paired with 1GB of RAM. In terms of storage, the handset includes 8GB of built-in storage, which can be expanded further by up to 32GB with a microSD card.

     Moving on to photography credentials, the budget smartphone features an 8MP rear-facing camera with an LED flash. It offers all the usual features such as Panorama, continuous shooting, as well as face detection. The front-facing camera is a 5MP unit, superior to most of its rivals in terms of resolution. Another key feature that differentiates the Karbonn K9 Smart Grand from other affordable Android smartphones is the presence of a fingerprint sensor. As you can tell from the product image above, the fingerprint sensor has been placed at the back of the phone. Connectivity wise, Karbonn K9 Smart Grand is equipped with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS with A-GPS, FM radio, USB OTG, and 4G VoLTE. The smartphone runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out of the box, which is definitely good to see on an entry-level device.


     Karbonn has packed a 2300mAh capacity Li-ion battery inside, which it claims can deliver up to 8 hours of talk time and a standby time of 300 hours. Despite the relatively small battery inside, it is quite thick with a 9.45mm profile. It also weighs more than most other smartphones in this range at 178 grams.
